about us

We’re more than a toy collection—we’re part of the community.

OUR OBJECTIVES

We exist to provide a service to the families of Port Phillip and our surrounding areas. We’re here for those who value cost-effective and sustainable ways to educate their children, and who want to connect with other parents and carers in the community.

We aim to offer a low cost, sustainable alternative to buying toys.
We aim to provide a wide range of toys and activities to families of all backgrounds and means.
We aim to provide high quality educational toys matched to developmental milestones.
We aim to provide an informal meeting place for parents and carers in our community.
We aim to become an integral part of our local families’ routines around early childhood.
We aim to connect families through play.

OUR story

Emerald Hill Toy Library has provided the families of Port Phillip with a sustainable way to play and connect since 1986. We opened first in Middle Park and then opened in South Melbourne in 2015.
